ZOSO is a design studio based in Melbourne, founded by designer and educator Shani Hodson.
ZOSO exists to protect and elevate the human essence of creativity in a world increasingly shaped by automation. It explores the elements and principles of art and design not as static theory, but as a living system that supports expression, confidence, and independent thinking.
Each work is created slowly and intentionally. What appears minimal on the surface carries a deeper purpose; to give people a way back to their own voice.
At its core, the studio operates across art, education, and cultural reflection. Drawing from over 15 years in the design industry and secondary education, ZOSO bridges professional design thinking with how creativity is taught, experienced, and embodied. The work extends beyond prints into educational toolkits, curriculum-informed resources, and ongoing research into the future of creativity in an AI-driven world.
ZOSO is grounded in the belief that when people understand the foundations of creating, they gain the freedom to express themselves without hesitation.
ZOSO offers an alternative. A return to self-trust, where creativity becomes a tool for expression rather than validation.
The values of the studio are simple. Confidence. Joy. Freedom.
Confidence to trust your ideas.
Joy in the process of creating.
Freedom to express who you are, without permission.
All works are produced in limited quantities using museum-grade materials, with a focus on sustainability, permanence, and intention over mass production.
ZOSO sits at the intersection of design, education, and empowerment. It is both a creative practice and a platform for change, supporting a new generation to think independently, create with purpose, and define their own visual voice.
